'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' Trailer

The nearly three-minute video begins with a tense scene in the cockpit, where Vijay Varma, playing the pilot, faces terror as a gun is pointed at him by one of the hijackers. The militants are shown torturing passengers, and it is revealed that there are 176 people on board, but the hijackers have made no demands. While many blame Vijay for taking off from Amritsar airport, his wife, portrayed by Pooja Gor, remains steadfast in her belief in him.

The trailer also depicts Indian and Pakistani diplomats in discussions, attempting to resolve the crisis. It concludes with Vijay trying to land the plane, communicating with Lahore ATC, and declaring that the aircraft is out of fuel.

The trailer was shared on YouTube with the caption, “Uncovering the true, gripping story of IC 814: India's longest hijacking— 188 lives, 7 harrowing days of courage, tough decisions, and survival.”

Vijay Varma shared the trailer on his Instagram with the caption, "7 days. 188 lives onboard. A nation’s worst nightmare.
