New Delhi: One of the most watched web series in India, ‘Panchayat’, just took home the inaugural Best Indian web series award from IFFI. The highest accolade for web content in India is the IFFI award, which is comparable to National Film Awards.
Since its inception in 2010, TVF has provided viewers with a wide range of interesting and relatable entertainment; however, Panchayat Seasons 1 and 2 stand out above the rest. The highly acclaimed programme, which debuted on April 3, 2020, has now been airing for four years.

‘Panchayat’ tells the story of an engineering graduate (Jitendra Kumar) who, after being denied better employment opportunities, ends up working as a Panchayat secretary in the isolated fictional town of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh.
The show is filmed in actual settings, and Panchayat has made a name for itself with viewers thanks to its memorable characters and plots.
