Actress Archana Puran Singh recently took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about her interactions with Bollywood icon Rekha. Rekha appeared as a guest on a recent episode of during an episode of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. Archana shared their memorable exchanges on Instagram. 

What Archana Puran Singh posted for Rekha

Archana posted a series of photos with Rekha, accompanied by a heartfelt caption that celebrated chasing dreams and embracing excellence, no matter one’s beginnings. Addressing her followers, she wrote, “When I saw Rekhaji's Sawan Bhadon, I was a kid living in a small town with hardly a hope of ever visiting Bombay, and definitely no hope of ever meeting her personally!!” 

Years later, Archana found herself working alongside Rekha in the film Ladai. Reflecting on the experience, she shared, “She called me to her makeup room and advised me on makeup and how to put on fake eyelashes, a trend she was credited with having started in Bollywood.”

When Archana asked Rekha about 'He' in her life

Recalling another cherished moment, Archana revealed a candid conversation they once had in a Film City lawn. “When I questioned her about who this 'he' she was referring to was, she countered with a 'you don't know who HE is?'” Archana expressed admiration for Rekha’s warmth and vivacity, calling her “a living legend” and a joy to meet every time. 

In her note, Archana also encouraged small-town dreamers to believe in their aspirations, stating, “Dreams do come true for small kids from small hometowns.” She thanked Rekha for her incredible presence on the show, adding, “Shall never forget the iconic live performance with @krushna30 that night.” 

The reference to “HE” in Archana’s caption is a nod to the much-discussed association between Rekha and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, a topic that has fascinated audiences for decades.
