Actor Isha Talwar On Her Role In Mirzapur 3: 'Expect Nothing But Great Drama'

New Delhi: Actress Isha Talwar is looking forward to Mirzapur 3, which will hopefully release soon, considering the series shoot was wrapped by November 2022.  

Isha revealed that 'Mirzapur 3' is a beast with crazy twists and turns; it’s a spice recipe of revenge - family dramas. Talking about her role, she said that when one takes on an important character, "expect nothing but great drama."   

Isha said, “Madhuri Yadav as we already saw in season 2 had almost snatched power towards the end from Kaleen bhaiya essayed the wonderful Pankaj Tripathi for reasons best known to her . When you take on such an important character in the show, please expect nothing but great drama intertwined riding on big EQ! This next bit can be left for another story closer to the show because the audience is still confused about Munna's death - I know this from personal experience." 

The actress plays the role of Madhuri Yadav. In season 3, she will be seen as Munna Bhaiya’s widow and will be taking on Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal) and Golu Gupta (Shweta Tripathi Sharma) to avenge her husband’s death. 

Mirzapur in IMDb 50 all-time most popular Indian web series list

Meanwhile, Mirzapur has emerged as second on the list of IMDb top 50 all-time most popular Indian web series. IMDb on Monday announced the top 50 all-time most popular Indian web series list, which was topped by the Saif Ali Khan-Nawazuddin Siddiqui show 'Sacred Games’ followed by ‘Mirzapur’.   

Karan Anshuman, who co-created 'Mirzapur' with Puneet Krishna said: "This recognition from IMDb truly reflects the transformative journey of content available to Indian viewers via the internet. As for what's next, we're all set to keep the momentum going, with a dash of unpredictability and a sprinkle of surprise-just like any binge-worthy series." 

The rankings are determined by the page views of IMDb customers in India between January 1, 2018 to May 10, 2023.
