After the nationwide lockdown was lifted, many celebrities were seen vacationing in the Maldives. Even during the second wave of COVID-19, many B’Town stars have been spotted going for a vacation. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is, however, not impressed with stars going for vacations as he told SpotboyE, “These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. ...Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho . Kuch toh sharm  karo.”

The ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ actor further requested the celebrities to not ‘taunt those who are suffering’ for the sake of humanity. He told, “In logon ne, Maldives ko tamasaha bana rakha hai. I don’t know what their arrangement is with the tourism industry. But for the sake of humanity, please keep these vacations to yourself. There is suffering everywhere. The cases of COVID are multiplying. Have a heart. Please don’t taunt those who are suffering. As a community, we entertainers in India need to grow up.”

When enquired if he has any plans of visiting the island, Nawaz said, “No way. I am in my home town Budhana with my family. That’s my Maldives.”

Meanwhile, speaking on the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in ‘Serious Men’. He will be next seen starring in ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’ and ‘No Land’s Man’.
