VD12 First Look: Vijay Deverakonda Announces Next Film, Poses As A Cop In Poster

New Delhi: Vijay Deverakonda has officially revealed his upcoming movie, 'VD12', after making his Bollywood debut with Liger. The actor shared the first look on Twitter on Friday. Gowtam Tinnanuri and Vijay will collaborate on the actor's upcoming Telugu movie. In the poster, the actor posed to be a cop.
When Deverakonda heard the script and learned who the cast and crew of his upcoming movie, which is being directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker, his "heart skipped a few beats," as he put it.

Meanwhile, the poster of the film read, "I don’t know where I belong, to tell you whom I betrayed - Anonymous spy." The movie may be a spy thriller, and the poster also included a burning ship in the middle of the ocean.

While being marketed as a pan-Indian project, Vijay Deverakonda's most recent film, 'Liger', was a box office failure. Despite having a worldwide opening of Rs 25 crore, the action flick crashed at the box office and vanished without a trace. Vijay will next appear with Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the forthcoming Telugu movie 'Khushi'. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2023.
Meanwhile, the actor's film 'Jana Gana Mana' is put on hold. Puri Jagannadh, who had also helmed 'Liger', is going to serve as its director.
