Did Sonu Sood Target Kangana Ranaut? Says ‘People Who Haven’t Met Sushant In Their Life Are Sitting On A Debate’

Sonu Sood also shared his views on ‘nepotism’ in a recent interview with a leading news channel. Read on.

The messiah of migrant workers, Sonu Sood, has been working tirelessly to ensure that everyone reaches their home in the times of COVID-19. He has been making the headlines for a long time now and has helped lakhs of people including workers, students and even the people who are residing outside the country. However, he has not been very active on the ongoing debate of ‘insiders vs outsiders’ in Bollywood. Recently, while giving an interview to a leading news channel, he spoke up about his views on ‘nepotism’ and the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Though the ‘Dabbang’ actor did not mention any name, his statement felt like he was indirectly taking a dig at Kangana Ranaut. The ‘Manikarnika’ actress has been very active on the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The actress and her team are leaving no stones unturned right from calling out Bollywood celebrities to demanding a CBI investigation into the matter. However, when Sonu Sood shared his views, he had a different take on the whole matter. The ‘Simmba’ actor said, "Lot of people trying to get mileage, over this subject, that’s very unfortunate. Imagine the family living in Patna, imagine what they must be going through. People who haven’t met him in their life, and they want to sit on a debate which is unfortunate." When enquired if the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s death will bring about a change in the functioning of the film industry, he said that it is an eye-opener for many. “don’t know if the near talent will be treated fairly, it’s an eye-opener for many people. I am an outsider. I have been through places where a lot of established names are there, sometimes you feel out of place, you feel 'do you really belong to this place?” "You will always feel that; don’t think it’s going to change. When an outsider comes to a party, people are going to hug him and welcome him, everything has changed and you are part of this industry, it’s not going to happen. An outsider will always remain an outsider, but you work hard and be successful,” the actor added. Also, the ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ actor cited his son’s example when questioned about the system of ‘nepotism’ in Bollywood. The actor said, “I was an outsider when I came to Mumbai, and I struggled, it took me years and today too, I have miles to go, But if my son comes, life is going to be easy for him, it won’t be the struggle that I went through. It’s fine.” Sonu Sood and Kangana Ranaut had a major clash on the sets of ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ which resulted in the actor walking out of the film. On the work front, the actor will be next seen starring in ‘Prithviraj’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana and others. This movie is slated to release on Diwali 2020.
