Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Rhea’s Brother Showik Chakraborty Files Fresh Bail Application

In the latest development, Sushant Singh Rajput’s live-in partner Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty has filed a fresh bail application in Special NDPS Court reportedly.

New Delhi: Ever since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, his fans, family and friends have been seeking justice for the late actor. The ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor’s death case has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs. After his father K.K.Singh lodged an FIR at Patna Police Station against Rhea Chakraborty and others for the abetment of his son’s suicide, the case was transferred to the CBI for investigation. Two more central agencies ED and NCB have also joined the probe. Showik and Rhea Chakraborty were arrested in connection with a drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested them under various sections of NDPS as sufficient pieces of evidence were found against them. While the ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ actress got a huge relief when the Bombay High Court granted bail to the 28-year-old actress, her brother Showik is still under judicial custody as his bail plea was rejected earlier. Other than Rhea and Showik, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) who is probing the drug angle related to the ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ actor’s death, has also arrested Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant and a number of drug peddlers till now. The agency also arrested Agisilaos Demetriades, the brother of Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend who is accused of being involved in a major supplier of all kinds of drugs in the Mumbai city.
