Amar Kaushik's 'Stree 2' starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao has shown remarkable box office strength, maintaining solid business even in its third week. Impressively, it recorded the highest third-week collection for a Hindi film to date, surpassing the third-week earnings of Animal, Jawan, and Baahubali 2 (Hindi version). The horror-comedy brought in Rs 70.20 crore nett with its Hindi version alone, setting a new record.

Top 5 Hindi Grossers in India

Here are the top 5 third-week Hindi grossers in India (nett collections via Sacnilk):

1. Stree 2: Rs 70.20 crore
2. Baahubali 2: Rs 69.75 crore
3. Gadar 2: Rs 63.35 crore
4. Jawan: Rs 52.06 crore
5. Animal: Rs 50.30 crore

Stree 2 crosses record of Animal and Gadar 2

Interestingly, Stree 2 also crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the domestic box office within 22 days, becoming the second-fastest Hindi film to achieve this milestone after Jawan, which did it in 18 days.

Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 is now on track to potentially become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, surpassing the lifetime collections of Gadar 2, Pathaan, Animal, and Jawan. To claim the top spot, Stree 2 will first need to break Pathaan's record of Rs 543.09 crore net and Animal's Rs 553.87 crore domestic total. With no major competition at the Hindi box office in the near future, the film has a clear shot at reaching its goal soon.
