Fans Request Disney+Hotstar To Announce Shah Rukh Khan's Digital Debut After New Ad Goes Viral

Disney+Hotstar shared a new advertisement featuring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh on social media.

Mumbai: Several Bollywood celebs including Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan have released their projects on OTT platforms. Shah Rukh Khan, known for his acting prowess, is yet to foray into the digital space. Unlike his contemporaries, the King of Romance has not announced any new film or series, which will premiere on a streaming platform.  

Shah Rukh Khan’s OTT Debut 

Although SRK is yet to make any official announcement, he has dropped subtle hints about his digital debut. Disney+Hotstar has shared a new advertisement wherein the ‘Chennai Express’ can be seen throwing his personal assistant’s phone off a balcony. Before you jump to conclusions, we will suggest you to watch the new featuring King Khan. 

The ad has piqued the interest of the fans as Shah Rukh got annoyed after he failed to get a response from Disney+Hotstar regarding his OTT debut. Rajesh Jais, who played his PA, told him that the streaming giant must be busy with other projects which will launch in the upcoming months.  

Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages, the requesting the officials at Hotstar to announce SRK’s digital debut soon. If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, the ‘Chak De India’ star might star in web series.  

All the three advertisements featuring Shah Rukh have grabbed eyeballs on social media. While the first one showcased his ‘FOMO’ moment, the second ad provided fans details about the ideas, which the ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actor pitched to Hotstar for his digital debut.  

Shah Rukh Khan’s Upcoming Films 

The Bollywood superstar has been missing from the silver screens since a long time. His last film ‘Zero’ released in 2018. The film co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma couldn’t create ripples at the box office despite a good start. 

SRK will make his return to Hindi cinema with YRF’s ‘Pathan’. He will be seen sharing screen-space with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the action drama. 

The ‘Happy New Year’ star will reportedly star in Rajkumar Hirani’s yet-to-be titled film and Atlee’s next movie. The makers of the two projects have managed to keep the details under wraps.
