Samyuktha Hegde Abused & Attacked For Wearing Sportswear In Park, Actress Narrates Her Ordeal In Video; Sundeep Kishan & Other Celebs Extend Support
Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde was attacked while she was working out in a park in Bengaluru. She alleged that the people, who abused her, threatened to link her name in the on going drug scandal.
New Delhi: Popular Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde, who made her debut with ‘Kirik Party’ opposite Rakshit Shetty, shared a video on social media and claimed that she and her friends were attacked and abused by a woman while they were working out in a park. In the video, a visibly shaken Samyuktha can be seen saying that several men joined the lady and threatened to link her name with the on-going drug scandal in the film industry.

The ‘Comali’ actress, who is known for being a fitness freak, added that a woman shamed her for wearing a sports bra while they were doing hoola-hoops in a park in Bengaluru. She added that the woman also attacked her friend. Samyuktha taped everything on her camera and shared the video on her Twitter and Instagram handles.
The actress tagged the Twitter handle of Bengaluru Police while posting the video on the micro-blogging site. Her caption read, "The future of our country reflects on what we do today. There are witnesses and more video evidence I request you to look into this #thisisWrong."
Samyuktha said that the woman accused the actress and her friends of indecent behaviour and passed comments on them as they were working out in their sportswear. She broke down in tears and said that they were asked to apologise and leave.
"Just because I am an actress, they are trying to defame me. This is so wrong," Hegde added.

Few people present at the park said that the actress and her friends didn't do anything inappropriate. She also said, "I am glad I went live otherwise they would have said so many atrocious things, which are not true."
Samyuktha further shared another post on Instagram and said that the cops stood there when the mob harassed her and her friends even after they requested the police for intervention.

"The only police who spoke to us with some respect and told her she was wrong was the inspector is the hsr police station muni reddy, he asked us both to file our respective complaints and he left. We wrote the complaint and gave it to the police. The police present there refused to give us an acknowledgement for the same. Its not easy being strong around people who are trying to break you, and having to listen to so many people harass us for doing nothing," the actress wrote.
'Bigg Boss 11' contestant Benfasha Soonawalla dropped a comment on the post. She commented, "What!????? Sending you power my strong girl. This is atrocious."

Actor Sundeep Kishan came in Samyuktha's support and tweeted, "This is so wrong." He re-tweeted the video and expressed his disappointment over the incident.
Several netizens also extended support to Samyuktha in the matter. One user tweeted, "This is sick, disgusting and really disturbing. When will women have the freedom to do what she likes doing? It hurts more when a women doesn't understand and stand for other women."

On the work front, Samyuktha Hegde was last seen in 'Puppy'. She is expected to resume the shooting for 'Thurthu Nirgamana' soon. The actress has also participated in 'Bigg Boss' Kannada.
