Sadak 2: The film starring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur failed to impress the audience and received scathing reviews from the critics. It has now become the lowest rated film on IMDb.

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer ‘Sadak 2’, which premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28, has received scathing reviews from the critics. The action drama has been hogging limelight for not so good reasons these days ever since the makers released the film’s trailer. The trailer of ‘Sadak 2’ became the most disliked video in India on YouTube within a few days of release.

Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’ has become the lowest rated films of IMDb with a score of one. The movie failed to impress the audience due to its slow-paced nature, poor storyline and patchy writing. Even the actors including Alia Bhatt failed to lift the film with their acting. The flick failed to perform on all the important parameters and hence, opened with poor reviews on Friday.
According to the recent update, ‘Sadak 2’ received an average rating of 1. 39,428 users on IMDb rated the film on the website.

The trailer ‘Sadak 2’ has received over 12 million dislikes and 709K likes till date. Amid the ongoing nepotism debate, the fans criticized Mahesh Bhatt over his alleged involvement with Rhea Chakraborty, who is the main accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
‘Sadak 2’, which is the sequel of ‘Sadak’, focused on the story of Arya, who is on a mission to expose fake gurus. She compels Ravi to take her to Kailash on her 21st birthday. There is a twist in tale as one of Arya's family members is behind all the conspiracy.

'Sadak 2' was originally slated to hit the silver screens in July 2020. However, the makers decided to release the movie on an OTT platform due to the COVID-19 crisis.
