Mahesh Bhatt's Family To Take Legal Action Against Sushant's Gym Partner For His 'Rhea's Sugar Daddy' Comment?

Sushant Singh Rajput's gym partner, in a recent interview, alleged that Rhe Chakraborty's biological father and 'sugar daddy' conspired to murder the 'Dil Bechara' actor.

New Delhi: The untimely demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has re-ignited debates on topics like nepotism, insider vs outsider and favoritism in Bollywood. Several tinsel town biggies including Karan Johar have faced flak on social media for allegedly promoting nepotism in the film industry. Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is hogging all the limelight these days after his screenshots of his WhatsApp chat with Rhea Chakraborty went viral on the internet.

The screenshots, which circulated on social media, revealed that the ‘Sadak 2’ director had tried to contact Rhea Chakraborty on the day Sushant Singh Rajput passed away.

Bhatt had reportedly asked the ‘Chehre’ actress to call him on June 14. For the uninitiated, Rhea worked with Mahesh Bhatt in Vishesh Films' ‘Jalebi’, which bombed at the box office.

Sushant’s gym partner Sunil Shukla recently alleged that Mahesh Bhatt and Rhea Chakraborty’s father ‘conspired to murder’ the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor. He addressed Bhatt as Rhea’s ‘sugar daddy’ and told Times Now that the ‘conspiracy to murder SSR’ was done by the actress’ biological father and the filmmaker.

According to a report in an entertainment portal, Mahesh Bhatt’s family is planning to take legal action against Sunil Shukla. The ‘Zakm’ director’s daughters Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt believe that they should take legal action as people are accusing their father without a ‘shred of evidence’, the report added.

“Bhatt Saab’s family is livid. Pooja and Alia feel, enough is enough. Their father’s name has been unnecessarily dragged into the mud. And now random people are naming him a murderer without a shred of evidence. It’s time for some serious legal action,” a source close to Bhatt family told Bollywood Hungama.

Alia Bhatt’s family recently squashed the rumours which suggested that Mahesh Bhatt was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. They said that people should be careful about what they write.

Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’ will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar this week. The movie starring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt will be available for streaming from August 28. The trailer of ‘Sadak 2’ has become the most disliked video on YouTube in India.
