New Delhi: The trailer of Kiran Rao's directorial 'Laapataa Ladies' was released on Wednesday and promises to be a laugh riot.
The trailer begins with a baarat reaching home. The bridegroom (Sparsh Shrivastav) is in for a shock when he realises that his bride has been swapped. He goes to the police station to seek help from the officers and tells them what exactly happened. Ravi Kishan is playing cop in the film
The film set in a backdrop of rural India is about two young brides who get lost on a train and the quest of people who dwell into a series of bafflement on the go.

The film, starring Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, Nitanshi Goel and Ravi Kishan, will be released on March 1, 2024.
The film also received a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Presented by Jio Studios, 'Laapataa Ladies' is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. The film has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami.
Kiran Rao has returned to direction after 13 years. She had last directed critically acclaimed film, Dhobi Ghat, starring Aamir Khan.
The screenplay & dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues have been jotted down by Divyanidhi Sharma.
This is the first project between Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan since announcing their separation in 2021.
