Alia Bhatt Confirms Film With Sanjay Leela Bhansali Co-Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal Titled Love & War

New Delhi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic saga with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal finally has been confirmed. The film also has a name. Alia Bhatt shared the official film announcement with the title on her official Instagram page. Alia shared a post that read, " We bring you Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Epic Saga Love and War, See you at the movies." Alia also mentioned the release date of the film, Christmas 2025.
Alia Bhatt also shared a heart and fire emoji with the poster along with the signatures of the three stars.
Looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to review his ambitious musical drama 'Baiju Bawra' featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Later, there was speculation about 'Insha Allah'.
However, it has been reported for quite some time that Bhansali would be doing a project with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt which will be timeless love story which will stand the test of time. A Pinkvilla report shared.
As per the same publication, Bhansali had been looking to take 'Love & War' in November 2024. The film is also set against of a war.
Pinkvilla report also stated that the 'Love & War' will be a homage by Sanjay Leela Bhansali to the 1964 classic 'Sangam' directed by Raj Kapoor.
"It's a great story that got all three stalwarts excited. It's a casting coup pulled off by SLB in such a short span, and that's purely based on the power of his screenplay. Rarely are 4 of the top names from the fraternity excited by the same subject and it has happened this time with SLB, Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky signing on the project," the publication quoted the source as saying.
'Love and War' will mark Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's second collaboration with the aueteur. Ranbir had worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 'Saawariya' and with Alia Bhatt in 'Gangubai Kathuawadi'.
