Kareena Kapoor Khan's The Buckingham Murders has been released on the big screen and is creating waves everywhere.

Kareena Kapoor Khan's The Buckingham Murders has been released on the big screen and is creating waves everywhere. While the film is performing well at the box office, it is also receiving tremendous love for its gripping story. Amid the film's successful run, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has delivered a career-defining performance, spoke about the amazing response the film is receiving and how she took up the challenge with the film on her 25th year in the industry.

Kareena Kapoor calls 'The Buckingham Murders' a brave film

In a recent event, Kareena said, "I think Buckingham Murders is a very brave film because it's a film that we set out to do which would be very true to  its ethnicity, and authenticity. We wanted to shoot the film in a small town in England and it was a story about that but the way Hansal wanted to shoot it, we were like we can't have people speak in Hindi, the people, the local people living there. So we said let's make a Hindi and English and an Hinglish film and let's stick to its truest form."

"Somehow I just wanted to do it. I thought after like 25 years if it's not now to experiment and do something different, it's gonna be never and I've always actually tried to do that with films like Chameli and Dev very early on in my career," she continued.

The Buckingham Murders

The Buckingham Murders is receiving amazing reviews and ratings from both the audience and critics alike ever since its release. Despite the film featuring Hinglish accents in its dialogues, people are still embracing it. As a mystery thriller, the film appeals to a niche audience, but it’s still performing well at the box office.

The film marks a unique collaboration between actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has stepped into a full-fledged intense suspense drama for the first time, director Hansal Mehta, who has delivered the biggest opener of his career with this film, and producer Ektaa R Kapoor, who bravely took a risk by backing this immensely gripping mystery thriller. The trio has truly created a captivating and one-of-a-kind film.

Released exclusively in cinemas on September 13, 2024, ‘The Buckingham Murders’ features an exceptional ensemble cast, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Directed by Hansal Mehta and written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, it is a Mahana Films and TBM Films production, presented by Balaji Telefilms, and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and first-time producer Kareena Kapoor Khan.
