Karan Johar On Film With Salman Khan: 'I'm Superstitious, I Think It Should Be Said When It's Time'
Recently in an interview, Karan Johar spoke about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Salman Khan’s cameo in the film. He also gave a hint about doing a film with Salman in the near future.
New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar recently celebrated his 25th year as a director with the silver jubilee of his iconic film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. The filmmaker hosted a special screening of the film which was attended by Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji.
Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Karan Johar spoke about the film and also about Salman Khan’s cameo in the film.
When asked about the reports of his project with Salman, Karan Johar said, "I can't tell you how much I admire Salman and his family. My dad was really close with Salim, Salman Khan's dad. I told you about how Salman agreed to the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ because he really cared about my dad. It's something that has stayed with me all these years. I'm sure this relationship will make it to the big screen soon. I'm not saying it's true, but I'm superstitious, and I think it should be said when it's time.”
He further spoke about Salman Khan’s cameo in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and shared how many actors had said no to Aman’s part.
“A lot of actors had said no for the part of Aman. And then I met Salman at Chunky Panday’s party. He came to me and said, ‘Only an absolutely confident person will do this film, and I am that person.’ I went to narrate the film, and at the end of the first half, he said, ‘I am doing the film’. When I said, ‘But you come in the second half’, he said, I don’t care, I know where it’s going. I really like your dad; I like your energy and am doing your film,” the filmmaker told Pinkvilla.
Earlier in September, there were reports of Salman Khan and Karan Johar teaming up for a film, directed by Vishnuvardhan. Salman will reportedly play the role of a paramilitary officer in the film.
