Akshay Kumar Announces Housefull 5 Also Starring Riteish Deshmukh, Film To Release On Diwali 2024

Akshay Kumar is back with the fifth installment of his comedy franchise Housefull. The film will be released in theatres during Diwali, 2024.

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar is back with the fifth installment of his comedy franchise Housefull. The film will be released in theatres during Diwali, 2024. Akshay Kumar took to social media to announce 'Housefull 5.' 

He officially launched the poster announcing the release date of the film. He wrote in the caption, "Get ready for FIVE times the madness! Bringing to y'all #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5 Directed by @tarun_mansukhani."

The upcoming installment stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, the two actors who have been a constant in the series. The makers will soon make other additions to the cast. 

The film will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film will soon go into production and is anticipated to bring a comedy that will leave the larger audience in stitches. 

The first and second parts of the franchise were directed by Sajid Khan, the third by Sajid-Farhad and the fourth by Farhad Samji. 

While Akshay and Ritiesh were constant in all Housefull movies, Housefull (2010) also starred Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani and Chunky Pandey. Housefull 2 (2012) had John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez and late Rishi Kapoor. Housefull 3 (2016) starcast included Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon. Housefull 4 (2019) stars Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda. 

Akshay Kumar’s future projects
Akshay Kumar has a series of films lined up. He will be seen in ‘OMG 2', the second installement of 'Oh My God!', alongside Yami Gautam. The film will release on 11 August. 

Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer 'The Great Indian Rescue' will release in theatres on October 5, 2023. The film is based on a true life event of late Jaswant Singh Gill who led India's first coal mine rescue mission. 

He will also be seen in the action thriller, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Sonakshi Sinha. The film will release in Eid 2024.
