‘Jagame Thandhiram’ Teaser OUT: Dhanush’s Action Entertainer Looks Promising; Film To Release On This OTT Platform!

New Delhi: The makers of the much-awaited upcoming gangster film ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ recently released the teaser of the movie. Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj and starring Dhanush in the lead role, this film will hit the OTT platform Netflix soon.

Recently, Netflix released the teaser of this fun-filled action movie. In the teaser, Dhanush can be seen in a buoyant mood and the dialogue delivery makes one giggle. The video shows the protagonist Suruli travelling all the way to a foreign land and marks his territory there. Suruli alos touted to be ‘the most dangerous, notorious gangster’ that one has 'ever seen’ in their lives.
Other than Dhanush, ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi and James Cosmo in pivotal roles. The upcoming gangster movie also stars Joju George and Kalaiyarasan in supporting roles.
Dhanush’s upcoming movie was initially announced in the year 2016, but it got shelved due to financial issues. However, it was again revived in February 2018 and was then scheduled for a theatrical release on May 1, 2020. But, owing to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the release got delayed. Now, the film will release on the OTT platform Netflix soon.
The decision for the platform of the release of ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ reportedly caused a difference of opinion between Dhanush and producer Sashikanth. Reportedly, the ‘Shamitabh’ actor was upset over the fact that the producer chose to release the movie on the OTT platform despite the fact that theatres have opened after the nationwide lockdown that happened last year.
‘Jagame Thandhiram’ was earlier titled ‘#D40’. The title of the film was announced during the release of its motion picture on February 19, 2020.
