Anushka Sharma Gearing Up For Cannes Debut, Will Join Kate Winslet To Honour Women In Cinema

Anushka Sharma will honour women in film at the Cannes Film Festival 2023.

New Delhi: Anushka Sharma is gearing up to make her Cannes debut. Along with Hollywood actor Kate Winslet, she will honour women in film at the Cannes Film Festival 2023, which is scheduled to take place from May 16 to May 28.

Emmanuel Lenain, who is the French Ambassador to India, also took to his Twitter handle and dropped a picture with cricketer Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.

“A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma. I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka’s trip to #CannesFilmFestival,” he wrote in the caption.

Filmmakers, artists, and film fans go from all over the world for this eagerly awaited celebration of cinema this year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and other Indian celebrities have walked the Cannes red carpet in the past.

The actor recently celebrated her 35th birthday and her husband, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli took to Twitter to share some beautiful pictures of her.

"Love you through thick, thin and all your cute madness. Happy birthday my everything," Virat Kohli tweeted.

Anushka Sharma is one of the most popular actors in India today. In addition to others, she has given performances in some of Indian cinema's biggest hits, including 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', 'PK', 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', 'Ae Dil Hain Mushkil', and 'Band Baaja Baraat'.

On the professional front, Anushka Sharma will next be featured in 'Chakda Xpress', a film based on the life and career of fast bowler Jhulan Goswami.
