After Kiara Advani, Vikrant Massey Reportedly Walks Out Of Ranveer Singh’s Don 3

After Kiara Advani reportedly opted out of Don 3 due to her pregnancy, fresh buzz suggests that Vikrant Massey has also exited the film, allegedly due to dissatisfaction with his role.

Ranveer Singh’s Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is going through major casting changes. While Ranveer remains the only confirmed cast member, both Kiara Advani and Vikrant Massey have reportedy exited the project. First, reports surfaced that Kiara Advani had opted out of the film due to her pregnancy. Now, fresh buzz suggests that Vikrant Massey, who was set to play the main antagonist opposite Ranveer Singh, has also exited the project.

Kiara Advani stepped away from Don 3

Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Kiara Advani—who was initially cast opposite Ranveer—has bowed out of the film due to her pregnancy. Her exit reportedly prompted the makers to approach Kriti Sanon as a potential replacement, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

Vikrant Massey exits Don as antagonist

The latest shakeup involves Vikrant Massey, who was reportedly signed on to play the main antagonist opposite Ranveer. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the actor has now exited the project. The reason? Insiders claim that Vikrant wasn’t satisfied with the depth of the character he was offered and felt the role lacked the kind of transformation or complexity he seeks in his work.

Massey’s decision comes at a time when he is riding high on the success of 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan', a romantic drama that also marks Shanaya Kapoor’s much-talked-about debut.

Who will be playing villain in Don 3?

With Vikrant out, speculation is rife about who might step into the shoes of the villain. The buzz points to Aditya Roy Kapur and Vijay Deverakonda as frontrunners for the part, though there’s been no official word yet from the makers or the actors involved.

About Don franchise

The Don franchise is one of Bollywood’s most iconic action-thrillers, originally rebooted by Farhan Akhtar in 2006 with Shah Rukh Khan stepping into the legendary role made famous by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1978 classic. Blending slick action, stylish storytelling, and unforgettable music, the first two films—Don and Don 2—captivated audiences and delivered massive box office success. SRK’s portrayal of the enigmatic and ruthless criminal Don, along with Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s strong presence, turned the films into modern cult favourites.
