New Delhi: Alia Bhatt attended the Met Gala 2023 in a stunningly exquisite white gown from Indian fashion designer Prabal Gurung. Alia Bhatt wore a beautiful white dress embellished with pearls for her first Met Gala appearance. Alia stayed on track with this year's theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," by wearing all white. Alia waved to the cameras on the red carpet and smiled like a true fairy. Her photos and videos from the gala are going viral now. 

Alia’s inspiration for the stunning ensemble was that she “wanted to do something that felt authentic” and “made in India.” Taking to Instagram, she worte, I have always been fascinated by the iconic Chanel brides. Season after season, the genius of Karl Lagerfeld shone through in the most innovative and awe-inspiring couture. My look tonight was inspired from this and in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look."

She added, “A girl can never have too many pearls… and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair. Oh, and it’s white, for my Choup-ED.”

Alia accessorised with a pair of gloves and statement earrings that matched her outfit well. The actress looked very chic with her hair slicked back and parted down the centre.

Alia Bhatt also posted a photo on Instagram a few hours ago hitting the Met Gala carpet Sharing her right side profile, Alia Bhatt wrote, "& here we go" with a black heart.

The Met Gala is an annual event held on the first Monday of May and attended by celebrities from the worlds of fashion and show business. The event presented by the Metropolitan Museum of Art was curated by Anna Wintour, a former editor of Vogue.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia has an exciting year ahead with the release of Netflix's 'Heart of Stone' with Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan and 'Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani' with Ranveer Singh which has been directed by Karan Johar.
