Kim Sae Ron's American Husband Denies Pregnancy, Abuse Claims: 'Who Gets Married Due To Threats?'

Kim Sae Ron’s alleged husband explained that he met Kim Sae Ron in November 2024 and married her legally in January 2025. 

Amid the Kim Soo-hyun controversy, Lee Jin Ho posted a voice recording in which Sae-ron allegedly admitted to being married.

Kim Sae Ron’s alleged husband, who was mentioned in an audio recording with a former staff member released by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, has now spoken out through the Garo Sero Research Institute. He identified himself as American and explained that he met Kim Sae Ron in November 2024 and married her legally in January 2025. 

Kim Sae Ron’s alleged husband issues statement

In his statement, he addressed multiple accusations, including assaulting the late Kim Sae-ron, pressuring her into marriage over a supposed pregnancy, and monitoring her social media. In a video shared on March 25, he expressed that he is still grappling with her death and questioned whether speaking out was the right decision.

He also mentioned that they later mutually agreed to annul the marriage. He explained that the decision came after realizing they had married too quickly, without serious consideration, driven by their long-distance relationship and differences in personalities.

Sae-ron's husband denied allegations that she was forced into marriage due to pregnancy.  He added, “It is completely not true that she was pregnant. Rumours of her pregnancy came around January 2025, but we first met in mid-to-late November 2024. That was when we first met, and we started getting serious around the end of November when she visited America.”

He further said, "The timelines do not match up. Also, we were not thinking about children, so Kim Sae Ron was taking birth control pills. It is a severe form of humiliation of the late Kim Sae Ron to claim that she was threatened into marriage due to pregnancy, etc. Who gets married due to threats?"

He further explained that they had agreed it would be "better to quietly void the marriage without letting people know that we had been wed for a short time overseas". He also stated that "false information about our personal lives and marriage, and unconfirmed claims from her ex-boyfriend, were spread through recordings by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, Director Kwak Tae Young, and her previous manager".

Amid the Kim Soo-hyun controversy, Lee Jin Ho posted a voice recording in which Sae-ron allegedly admitted to being married. She also reportedly revealed that she was pregnant and had undergone an abortion. Sae-ron was tragically found dead at her home in February this year.
