Kartik Aaryan's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' Enters The 175 Cr Club Making Its Mark As A Blockbuster

The film that has been reigning at the box office ever since its release on May 20, has now crossed the 175 crore mark, making its mark as a certified blockbuster.

New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan's 'Bhool Bhualaiyaa 2' has finally registered itself as a blockbuster. The film that has been reigning at the box office ever since its release on May 20, has now crossed the 175 crore mark, making its mark as a certified blockbuster.

'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' came as a respite for Bollywood in the post-pandemic era. Previously, all Bollywood films failed to do good business at the box office, facing tough competition from pan-India films 'RRR' and 'KGF: Chapter 2'. Kartik Aaryan's film not only became one of the biggest openers of the year but also minted more than a 100 crores in 2 weeks of its release.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the overall box-office collection of the horror-comedy thriller and wrote, "#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 crosses ₹ 175 cr [Wed, Day 27]... Is now a certified BLOCKBUSTER... [Week 4] Fri 1.56 cr, Sat 3.01 cr, Sun 3.45 cr, Mon 1.30 cr, Tue 1.29 cr, Wed 1.26 cr. Total: ₹ 175.02 cr. #India biz."

Kartik shared the same post on his Instagram, expressing his happiness on delivering one of the blockbusters of the year.

'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' is the sequel to the 2007 blockbuster drama 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja, among others.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and others. The film gave a tough competition to Akshay Kumar's 'Samrat Prithviraj', that failed to fare well at the box office with the audience flocking to watch Kartik's entertaining film over the historical period drama.
