In a shocking revelation Nisha stated that she suffered from bipolar disorder in 2014 after she had a miscarriage and at that time Karan was not available to talk and was completely detached from her.

TV couple Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal's marital troubles is out in the public eye, with both giving their version of story.

"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" fame actor Karan Mehra was accused by his wife, actress Nisha Rawal, of having an affair, taking her jewellery and beating her up. Mehra was granted bail on Tuesday morning after his arrest the night before following a complaint by Nisha over a domestic fight.

Soon after the news surfaced in media, Nisha held a press conference on Monday(June 1) to talk about her sufferings she had been facing over the years because of husband Karan Mehra.

In a shocking revelation Nisha stated that she suffered from bipolar disorder in 2014 after she had a miscarriage and at that time Karan was not available to talk and was completely detached from her.

In September 2014, I was 5 months pregnant and I lost my child. Recently, I made a Mom’s group where women who lost their child could speak up about it as when I lost my child I did not have anyone to talk about the loss. I wanted to go to my parents and talk to them because it was a very big trauma for me. In the middle of it my husband was beating me up, abusing me, he was unavailable, totally detached and that’s when I went to a therapist. In fact, Karan had stopped me from going to a therapist, he didn’t let me go to a gym, he was very controlling in everything. But I went to the therapist. I was detected with a depressive phase of bipolarity. I took medication for it for the next two-three months and I was fine. It was in 2014.

When Nisha was told of Karan's allegation that she had banged her head against the wall to injure herself, she replied: "I know he is saying that but why would I do that? I am an actor, my face is precious. I have a child. Why would I do that?"
