'She Banged Her Head...': Karan Mehra Accuses Wife Nisha Rawal Of Filing 'False' Case Against Him

Mumbai Police arrested popular TV actor Karan Mehra for allegedly assaulting his wife Nisha Rawal. The 'YRKKH' actor has accused his wife of filing a 'false' case against him.

Mumbai: Popular TV actor Karan Mehra, fondly known for his role of Naitik in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ opposite Hina Khan, was arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly assaulting his wife Nisha Rawal. According to a report in ANI, Nisha filed a complaint against her husband on Monday (May 31) night following a brawl.  

Karan was released on bail on Tuesday (June 1) morning after spending the entire night in lockup. The ‘Yeh Rishta’ actor, while talking to a leading daily, refuted his wife’s allegations and accused her of filing a ‘fake case’ against him.

Mehra told Indian Express that Nisha ‘banged her head on the wall’ after the alimony discussion between the estranged couple failed.   

Karan Mehra has been booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including 336 and 337. 

Karan and Nisha, who are parents to four-year-old son Kavish, got married in November 2012. They tied the knot after dating each other for several years. The couple participated in ‘Nach Baliye 5’, which aired on Star Plus. 

Last month, rumours of their fallout surfaced on the internet. Gossip mills suggested that the couple was facing issues in their married life. While Mehra was shooting for a project in Punjab, Rawal was in Mumbai with their son. 

On the professional front, Karan was last seen on the small screen in ‘Shubharambh’. He shot to fame after playing the role of Naitik in ‘YRKKH’. He essayed the character in the popular daily soap for seven long years before quitting the show in 2016. His sizzling chemistry with Hina Khan grabbed several eyeballs. After leaving ‘Yeh Rishta’, Karan participated in Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss 10’. 

Talking about Nisha Rawal, the actress was seen in shows like ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ and ‘Main Lakshmi Tere Angan Ki’.
