Now that he's uploaded a string of cryptic Instagram photos, he's garnering attention from the internet. Karan wrote a few cryptic notes that seemed to poke fun at Kangana Ranaut using the word "nepotism."
Priyanka Chopra recently discussed her decision to leave Bollywood and relocate to the West on a podcast. With such a shocking discovery, Kangana Ranaut was quick to condemn and hold Karan Johar responsible for it.
Today, Karan wrote on his Instagram story by referencing how individuals staged press conferences at the airport. He wrote, “The airport is a runway ... it's also a press conference .... Next it may be a trailer launch venue! ( I subscribe to it all... no complaints ...but maybe nice to also catch a flight once in a while .... ).”
Many believe this was meant as a sly jab towards Kangana. When Ranaut was last photographed at an airport, she remarked on how the media should have asked her about Priyanka Chopra instead of other topics.
On another note, he said, "Further Jet lag musings.... I am obsessed with make up tutorials ( just watching them on reels makes my soul happy) They put the whole dukaan (shop) on a brides face ... but the end results are invariably OTT but still stunning (before/after comparisons) ....and I love the hacks! #iykyk."
Kangana Ranaut accused the director of being the "flagbearer of nepotism" on an episode of Koffee With Karan. This has sparked a heated discussion ever since.
Karan stated in reference to nepotism, “I loved so many looks at the Dior show! But meNtioning thEm is Perhaps a nO….#iykyk.” He wrote letters, all capitals, that spell out "nepo" when put together.
