Jacqueline Fernandez Arrives At Patiala House Court For Hearing In Rs 200 Crore Extortion Case

New Delhi: Actor Jacqueline Fernandez arrives at Delhi's Patiala House court, in connection with hearing in Sukesh Chandrashekhar's Rs 200 crore money laundering case. Enforcement Directorate to file a supplementary complaint in the money laundering case against conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and actor Jacqueline Fernandez. The next hearing of the case will be held on April 18 in Patiala House Court.
Earlier in February, con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar also appeared in Delhi's Patiala House Court, in the money laundering case. He talked about Satyendra Jain, an AAP minister who is in jail.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar has been accused in the Rs. 200 crores extortion case which is being investigated by the Enforcement Dircectorate. Sukesh is the prime accused in the money laundering case while also been charged for several other cases which are being investigated by the ED, Delhi Police and Economic Offences Wing.
Several Bollywood actors' names came up during the investigation related to his case; predominantly that of Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez.
According to reports, Sukesh earlier testified in court that Jacqueline Fernandez is innocent and that he is there to defend her.
According to India Today, Sukesh reassured the court that Jacqueline was not involved in the case and that she should not fear since he would be there to protect her. He said, “Jacqueline is not a part of this case, she does not need to worry, I am there to protect her."
A number of women Bollywood actors and models, including Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi, have been questioned in this 2021 case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for their alleged links to Chandrashekhar.
Fernandez, who was summoned by the ED several times in connection with the investigation, was named as an accused for the first time in the supplementary charge sheet, filed in January. The ED’s earlier charge sheet and supplementary charge sheet did not mention her as an accused.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Jacqueline was recently seen in a special appearance in the song 'Deewane' from Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Selfiee'.
