He shared a heartfelt reel featuring a series of pictures along with his co-stars. Sharing the reel, he wrote, "34 years of Tridev" and mentioned Naseeruddin Shah, Madhuri Dixit Nene and a few others in his post stirring up nostalgia among his fans and followers.

The film was critically and commercially successful at the box office, finishing third behind 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and 'Ram Lakhan' in 1989.
