Kiara Advani on her Bollywood journey

Kiara spoke about the beginning of her acting career and said that she has an 'attitude of gratitude'.

"When I started off, I didn't go on to become an overnight success story. So those few years the initial years of of my career were the most defining years and I believe that's what made me who I am today. I think that's given me a sense of grounding, that I don't let it get to my head and neither the success nor the failures, I think I found how to balance it and what to take from it and move ahead. I feel I'm a student of life. So I'm always learning," the actor said.

Kiara Advani says women can have it all

Bhagat cited Indra Nooyi's statement that women in power cannot have it all and questioned whether the Bollywood actor was, in fact, acting in contradiction to her words.

To which Advani replied, “If you want to make that happen, you can I think it's mind over matter. And the example you took Indra Nooyi, I think she's a great example of that herself. What she has achieved being a mother being a wife. She's balanced. She set examples for many more women."

"It does take a lot of work, not to discard the fact that it also takes that much work from the men. I think the differences are the women always get asked more often. There's more expectation from the woman to be whether it's a homemaker whether you know," she added.

Kiara on prioritizing oneself

The actor opened up about juggling personal life and work as she said, "I wish I could be everywhere. I'm newly married. So of course, my parents keep wanting me to come home, and I'm like, I have another home to also run and a career to also look after. I have friends, we haven't met in so long, and I have parents who I love. Whether it's fitness, health, or sleep, these are things I have to prioritise for myself as well. But I think it's all about balance. And fortunately, I'm surrounded by people who are very understanding of that. So I think it's possible that if you put your mind to it, you will make it happen."
