Dilip Joshi’s acting debut was ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’

Maine Pyar Kiya starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree helped launch Dilip's career. He portrayed Ramu in a comical manner and was a big hit with the audience. Besides, Dilip has also worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani.

Began his career as a theatre artist

Dilip Joshi began his career as a commercial-stage backstage artist. For Dilip Joshi, the theatre has been a lifelong obsession. His career in the Gujarati theatre spanned more than twenty-five years 'Daya Bhai Do Dhaya' was the name of his last stage play, which he performed in 2007. In addition to TMKOC, Joshi has been in a number of significant serials previous to the iconic Hindi comedy. 

No work for one year

Dilip has had a difficult time in his career, even though he has been in several television shows and movies. The actor was without a job for nearly a year and a half. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producers invited him for an audition in 2008.
