Shah Rukh Khan Visits His Parents' Grave In New Delhi To Pay His Respects

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has mentioned in countless interviews that he never misses visiting his late parents' grave whenever he visits Delhi. King Khan recently flew into Delhi to shoot his upcoming film 'Pathan'. He visited his parents Mir Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima Khan’s graves in a cemetery to pay his respects.

Shah Rukh Khan's father, Mir Taj Mohammed Khan was a lawyer and he was the youngest member of the Quit India Movement, he died of cancer in 1981 when Shah Rukh was just 15 years old. Shah Rukh in an interview said that his father could speak six languages - Persian, Sanskrit, Pushtu, Punjabi, Hindi, and English. In 1991, about 10 years later, his mother, Lateef Fatima died of complications from diabetes, Shah Rukh was 26 years old.

In David Letterman's talk show, Shah Rukh said that the one thing he holds against his parents is that he didn't get enough time with them. “So that’s one thing I decided. That I am going to make sure that I live very long, and I make sure that I keep on living with my kids and never let them feel they don’t have a parent. So any given moment I spend with them, I study with them, I sleep with them, I chat with them, I sort out all their problems, and I hate it when they have boyfriend-girlfriend problems.”

The Kal Ho Naa Ho actor has said in several interviews that he is a Delhi boy at heart although he stays in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathan’ has been making waves ever since it was announced that the Bollywood superstar would play the lead role in the film. SRK’s last release ‘Zero’ hit the silver screens in December 2018. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a different avatar in ‘Pathan’ along with Deepika Padukone. Although the makers have managed to keep the details under wraps, gossip mills suggest that John Abraham will play the main antagonist in the film.

A recent report in Filmfare stated that the action drama is likely to hit the cinema halls during the first quarter of 2022.
