New Delhi: The second song from Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ is out. ‘Sun Zara’ features Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. Ranveer is seen romancing both actresses in the song.
It is a romantic song set in the tunes of the 60s. The song is a visual treat, shot in two different locales. The setup, music, and choreography take you back to the 1960s.
Singer Papon has lent his vocal prowess to the song. Papon, talking about the song, said: "Sun Zara is a beautiful melody that takes you back to the 60s and will leave you wanting for more. We have captured the fun vibe of the romantic songs from that era. It was a pleasure voicing a track for the one and only Ranveer Singh."
He added: "This is the first time I got a chance to work with DSP, his music is just magic and its always a pleasure to sing with my dear friend Shreya. The song is finally out and I can't wait for the audience's reactions."
Composed by Rockstar DSP, and written by Kumar the song is sung by Papon and Shreya Ghoshal.
The film marks Ranveer Singh's third collaboration with Rohit Shetty after 'Simmba' and the Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi', where he had an extended cameo appearance.
In the movie, Ranveer seems to have a special power that permits him to control electricity for use in his circus shows. He was referred to as "electric man" in the trailer.
Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors, which has been turned into Bollywood comedy flicks like 'Angoor' and 'Do Dooni Chaar', served as the inspiration for 'Cirkus'.
Ranveer will reportedly be seen reprising Sanjeev Kumar's role from the cult film 'Angoor' and Varun will reprise Deven Verma’s character.
The comedy film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, T-Series, and Rohit Shetty Picturez and helmed by Rohit Shetty. Along with Ranveer Singh, the movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Johnny Lever, Varun Sharma, and several other prominent actors. 'Cirkus' is slated to hit the big screens on December 23.
Also, on Ranveer's plate is the Karan Johar directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' in which he will share the screen with Dharmendra, his 'Gully Boy' co-star Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
