There have been reports about the highest-paid of them all charging about Rs. 100 cr for one season and Rs. 15 cr per episode among others. While several names like Salman Khan and SRK crop up time and again for their exorbitant fee charged on TV, not many know about this actor's massive fee for a web series.

Ajay Devgn was signed to star in the Indian adaptation of the British show 'Luther' in 2021. Ajay would have portrayed Idris Elba's role in the series 'Rudra: Edge of Darkness'. As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Ajay charged a whopping Rs. 125 cr for the seven episode season, making his per episode fee to be around Rs. 18 cr, the highest ever in Indian entertainment history.
Not just the OTT platforms, even the big scale films and film stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan reportedly charge between Rs. 90 cr and Rs. 100 cr for their films like 'Raees', 'Zero' and 'Bharat'. Ajay's higher fee is attributed to the fact that the show's seven episode runtime was as long as two films. As per the same Bollywood Hungama report, "some cross-promotional activities for the Star Network like promo shoots, social media posts, appearances on reality shows”.

Besides Ajay Devgn, there are many actors who rank among the highest-paid OTT stars. Reportedly, Saif Ali Khan is only next to Ajay Devgn. Khan reportedly charged Rs. 15-20 cr for 'Sacred Games Season 2'. Varun Dhawan also allegedly charged Rs. 12-15 cr for 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'. Meanwhile, actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu also charged somewhere between Rs. 5-10 cr for their big shows.
