Sonu Nigam, born on July 30, 1973 is celebrating his 51st birthday this year.

Sonu Nigam as a child actor

A recent throwback video has surfaced on social media, showcasing the incredibly talented Sonu Nigam as a child actor, leaving fans in awe. While many know him as the iconic playback singer, few are aware of his early beginnings in the film industry as a child artist.

Before becoming the legendary singer we know today, Sonu Nigam started his career in the entertainment industry as a child actor. He appeared in several films, including 'Betaaab' (1983), 'Pitra' and 'Ustadi Ustad Se.'

There are more such films where he worked as the younger version of the protagonists like 'Humse Hai Zamana' where Sonu played the role of young Mithun Chakrabothy and 'Taqdeer' where he played young Shatrughan Sinha.

Sonu Nigam's acting career

Sonu Nigam has made appearances in films like 'Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani' (2002), 'Kash Aap Hamare Hote' (2003) and 'Love In Nepal (2004). He starred as a supporting actor in the multi-starrer film 'Jaani Dushman' and essayed the role of the protagonist in the other two films.

Sonu Nigam's singing career began to take shape in the late 1990s, with his debut album 'Rafi Ki Yaadein' (1995) paying tribute to the legendary Mohammed Rafi. However, it was his rendition of 'Sandese Aate Hain' for the film 'Border' (1997) that catapulted him to fame.
