Sara Ali Khan On Handling Trolling: ‘I Let Go of Sara Is the Best, Sara Is the Worst...'

Sara Ali Khan recently opened up about how she manages online negativity and revealed that meditation plays a crucial role in maintaining her peace of mind.

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan is no stranger to criticism on social media, often facing scrutiny over her acting abilities. However, she recently opened up about how she manages online negativity and revealed that meditation plays a crucial role in maintaining her peace of mind.

Sara Ali Khan on social media trolling

Speaking at the Times Now Summit, Sara shared her perspective on social media trolling and how she has developed resilience over time. "It’s become a lot less because I have started filtering out as much as I can. What helps me a lot is meditation—it allows me to see what’s real and what’s not. I have started looking at my own thoughts like clouds. I don’t even attach myself to every thought. The problem was never trolling; the problem was the emotion of ‘Is this person right?’ Now, I let that thought go. I let go of ‘Sara is the best,’ and I let go of ‘Sara is the worst.’ Sara is. That’s what I am focusing on," she explained.

Sara on her journey as an actor

The actress further reflected on her journey in the industry, admitting that she still has a long way to go. "I'm not even at the tip of the iceberg as an actor. Some people like certain actors, and some don’t. I have a long way to go as an actor and, God willing, a long life ahead—then production, then entrepreneurship. If it’s a certain public life..."

Upcoming project

Sara was last seen in the action-packed film ‘Sky Force’, where she starred alongside Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur. Up next, she is set to feature in Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated romantic drama, ‘Metro... In Dino’. A sequel to Basu’s acclaimed ‘Life in a... Metro’ (2007), the film is an anthology weaving together contemporary love stories. Backed by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions, the ensemble cast includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is set to hit theatres on July 4.
