New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu will soon be seen in 'Citadel: Honey Bunny' alongside Varun Dhawan in the Raj & DK Prime Video series. Recently, Samantha revealed that because of her health concerns, she had thought about not doing the series. In an interview with Galatta India, Samantha sat down with her co-star and the filmmakers and spoke about begging the makers to replace her. Samantha also spoke about the unconditional love and support she received from her fans and colleagues and an injury she had during the shoot.

When Samantha begged Raj & DK to move on

Samantha, who worked with Raj & DK on 'The Family Man' said, "I begged them to move on because I really didn’t think I could do it. I was really sure I couldn’t. I sent other recommendations, ‘Look at this heroine, she is so amazing. She will kill it. I sent four options…I beg you, please I can't do this because I was really not well.”

However, despite the initial hurdles and being pushed by the makers and her co-star Varun Dhawan, she found the courage to be a part of the show. "Now that I am watching this. I am so glad that they didn't. Somehow, I found ths strength to be, I'll do this and I can do this. I feel that even before the verdict of this is out, this one I am going to just give myself for just pulling through,” Sam added.

On Samantha's injury

When Samantha was asked about injuries on set because of action sequences, she said that she had a concussion and she forgot their names after that, she added, "I had a concussion and I forgot the names after that. I completely blanked out. That was quite something."

"Now that I think of it, nobody took me to the hospital. Nobody asked me," Sam jokingly said, while the show's writer, Sita Menon, clarified that they did have a doctor on call, which Samantha does not remember because of her concussion.

"I remember, during my concussion, hearing that we have the set only for less than a day, we need to finish the shoot. So in my concussion, I was like, ‘I am coming, people, I am coming.’ Then I remember the stunt guy was in front of me, and then I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ and they were like, ‘Okay, cut, not happening.'”
