Saba Pataudi, sister of Saif Ali Khan, performed a ‘Qur'an Khwani and Sadqa’ for the well-being and protection of her brother, sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor, and their children, Taimur and Jeh.
Saif Ali Khan's sister performs Sadqa
Taking to Instagram Stories, Saba shared a glimpse of the ritual, writing: “Faith..matters most to me. So did a Qu'ran khwani and sadqa for Bhai n the family, boys Tim n Jeh and Bhabs. Protection Always!”
The gesture comes after Saif Ali Khan was attacked in the early hours of January 16 when an intruder broke into his Bandra residence through his youngest son Jeh’s room.
According to reports, the assailant first confronted the house help before Saif intervened to protect them. A struggle ensued, during which the actor sustained six stab wounds, two of which were dangerously close to his spine. Despite his injuries, Saif managed to make his way to the hospital on his own, accompanied by his son, Taimur.
Doctors later removed a 2.5-inch knife from one of his wounds. The shocking incident has raised serious concerns about security, as the accused allegedly entered their home undetected before launching the attack.
