Mirzapur Actor Shweta Tripathi Sharma Notices Behavioural Change In Herself After Divyenndu's Comment On Being Suffocated While Working In The Series

According to Shweta Tripathi Sharma, she was confused by what was going on during the filming of 'Mirzapur' until she heard Divyenndu's comment.

New Delhi: Actress Shweta Tripathi Sharma, who is now making waves for her performance in the third season of the Amazon Prime Video series 'Mirzapur,' has said how her character ‘Golu’ was deeply rooted within her. She mentioned how his co-actor Divyenndu, who plays Munna Bhaiya in the series, helped her understand her problem.

In a chat with Humans of Bombay, Shweta Tripathi Sharma said that she was confused about what was happening to her during the shoot of ‘Mirzapur’ and how she figured it out by a comment made by Divyenndu.

Shweta Tripathi Sharma recalled, “At the time of season 2, I went down a spiral in which I did not understand what was happening to me, why it was happening to me till the time when we were sitting together and Divyenndu mentioned that how Munna did not leave him. That is when I understood that it was Golu. It is not me and my issues and emotions. I am not being able to understand but there is Golu and she needs to leave.”

“As soon as Divyenndu said this, that image became so clear in my head like ‘Oh my God, that is what happened to me’. During season three, I thought, okay now I will handle this better,” the actress added.

Shweta also talked about how actors are different from the characters they play. She said, “As an actor, we are wearing someone else's costume and we are saying words which are of someone else. With makeup, people might look at look like us but they are not us and we are not them.”

She added, “Whether it is shoes or socks, everything is different and when you see an actor playing and playing a character on-screen, there are so many departments coming together right from editing to background score to makeup, and production design. When everything comes together, then it becomes a character and that character is not just an actor. So, I went down a spiral again with season 3 and thankfully it was Cheeta (Shweta Tripathi Sharma’s husband) who brought to my notice that I was behaving differently.”
