New Delhi: Jab We Met by Imtiaz Ali is still a fan favorite despite being more than 15 years old. The portrayal of the main character Geet by Kareena Kapoor is still praised, and many consider it to be one of her best performances.
The actor recently remarked that while Poo (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...) and Geet continue to garner the most of limelight, her performances in movies like Chameli, Omkara, Heroine, and Yuva went unappreciated.
When questioned recently by Hindustan Times why every movie she appears in is compared to her legendary performance in Jab We Met, Kareena said, "Of course, it will always be compared to Poo and Geet, they are iconic I understand. Everybody is going to compare. But I feel like people should talk about Chameli, Omkara, Heroine, they are pretty underrated in terms of my performance, Yuva too. Why don’t people talk about that.”

The actress likened her Geet character to "ghar ki khichdi" and said, "You see it again and again, there’s always something new, it doesn’t seem like an old film. That’s a rarity, every time you watch it’s like you are watching it for the first time. It’s just the character.”
The 42-year-old actor, who most recently starred alongside Aamir Khan in Advait Chandan's Laal Singh Chaddha, claimed that her part in the upcoming 'The Devotion of Suspect X' will represent a new creative high point for her. She will also be seen in bff Rhea Kapoor's 'The Crew' that also stars Kriti Sanon and Tabu.
