Karan Aujla Responds To Fan's Shoe-Throwing Incident During UK Concert, Says 'It's Not Our Culture'
Karan Aujla has addressed an incident where a member of the audience threw a shoe at him during a live concert in London.
New Delhi: Punjabi music superstar Karan Aujla is now performing in India as part of his much-anticipated, world-renowned It Was All A Dream tour. The musician wowed London crowds during his UK tour before heading to India. But things went wrong during one of his performances when an audience member hurled a shoe at him while he was onstage. Karan was giving his all at a high-energy performance at London's O2 stadium last September when the incident happened.
Karan discussed the situation and the need for respect at live events in a recent interview with NDTV. He used the chance to express his gratitude to his followers, who are an integral part of his success story. He said, “I always believe in treating my fans with respect because they’re the reason I’m here today."
“I was performing on stage, giving my 100%, and suddenly this happened. You know, as artists, we put our heart and soul into every performance and we want to create memories," Karan recalled the exact moment the shoe dropped.
According to Karan, it is very unacceptable to hurl items on stage in their culture. The singer said, “This trend of throwing weird things on stage… it’s not in our culture, not our way of showing appreciation. All I ask for is respect – not just for me, but for every artist who gets on that stage."
He also added, "The majority of my supporters show love in the right way, and I'm grateful for it. They sing along, they dance, they enjoy the music — that's what matters."
Karan's statement brought to light the importance of concert etiquette and the value of appreciating artists' performances.
