Speaking about his experience with the film, Nana Patekar previously shared, “Vanvaas is not just a story—it’s a reflection of emotions we often bury deep within ourselves. Playing this character was like peeling back layers of my own understanding of family, honor, and belonging. It’s a film that speaks to the soul, and I believe audiences will find a part of their own journey in it.”
Anil Sharma on Vanvaas
Director Anil Sharma also spoke about the emotional essence of the movie. “It is a story in which we have tried to show that a father is above all. Every father will watch this film and then ask their sons to see it too. Vanvaas is an emotional journey, where I say, ‘apne hi dete hai apno ko vanvaas’. It’s a universal truth that resonates deeply in today’s world,” Sharma said in an interview with IANS.
The film, starring Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur, hit theatres on December 20.
