Heeramandi Actor Taaha Shah Meets His 'Lifelong Idol' Tom Cruise, Shares Picture

Taaha Shah Badussha, who gained limelight after playing Tajdar in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, recently met Hollywood star Tom Cruise. The actor shared a photo with his ‘lifelong idol’ on Instagram.

Taaha shared the photo with a caption that read, “Pinch me! Just met my lifelong idol. The one and only Tom Cruise!” In the photo, Taaha is seen in a black shirt and grey blazer while Tom sports a white T-shirt. In the video, Tom is also seen putting his arm around Taha.

Tom Cruise was reported to be in London for the premiere of Twisters, which stars Glen Powell. Tom and Glen worked together in the 2022 film Top Gun: Maverick. 

Taaha on working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Taaha had earlier shared his experience of working with Bhansali in a conversation with Free Press Journal. "I was eternally grateful when I first stepped into the sets. I was mesmerised by the scale and magnitude that SLB had created. I have never been on a set like this. To see it in real and to be a part of it is no less than a blessing. I was told to shoot for 45-50 days but I was on the sets for 110 days,” Taha said. 

“I was nervous but excited when my scenes did start. I had a bunch of emotions sprouting at the same moment. It wasn't difficult to act since I have the education behind. I do understand filmmakers and their making. The way SLB directs is very unique. His vision is larger than life. I would have been happy if it would have been a one-day job in his project since so many actors die to work with him,” he added. 

'Heeramandi' also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Sehgal, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman.
