Fans of the celebrity showered him with presents on his birthday, making the special day even more enjoyable for him. Dharmendra acknowledged his fans' and well-wishers' affection in a video recorded by him. He can be heard saying "pyaare pyaare tohfe aaye hain".

Among the many ways in which the famous star's legion of devoted followers celebrated his 88th birthday yesterday, on December 8, was by sending him birthday messages and presents. Bohot acha lagta hoon aur sab apka pyaar jo aya hain. Jeete raho khush raho jis tarah se aap pyaar de rahe ho apko jee jaan se pyaar deta hoon mai. Okay love you,” (Friends, I received such lovely gifts on my birthday like this plant and this safa. Look how good I look while wearing it.
