Recently, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan used her platform to address street harassment in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. She urged women to stand up for themselves and never compromise on their worth.
As part of a training program against street harassment for a beauty brand, Aishwarya shared a video on her Instagram handle. She captioned it:
“On this International Day for the elimination of violence against women, join @lorealparis’s Stand Up against street harassment training program. We’re all worth it.”
In the video, Aishwarya emphasized that women are not to blame for street harassment. She stated, “Street harassment, how do you deal with it? Avoid eye contact? No. Look the problem directly in the eyes, hold your head high. Feminine and feminist.”
