'Brahmastra' Worldwide Collection: Ayan Mukerji Expresses Gratitude As Ranbir-Alia Starrer Grosses 75 Crore

New Delhi: Ayan Mukerji's directorial venture 'Brahmastra: Part 1 Shiva' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, has come as a boon for Bollywood as the film has managed to set box office records with its Day 1 collection, grossing around 37 crores. The fantasy science-fiction thriller has also managed to fare well at the global box office.
'Brahmastra' has managed to have the highest opening on a non-holiday, minting around Rs 35-36 crore at the box office. The film has set a new record in Indian cinema by being the first original film in Hindi to have the highest opening on a non-holiday.

According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, "Brahmastra has had a huge first day as it collects around 35-36 crore nett in all its versions which is the highest opening day in history on a non holiday for original Hindi content. The only film to do more on a non holiday was Bahubali - The Conclusion."
