Bigg Boss 16: Shalin Bhanot's Ex-Wife Dalljiet Kaur Slams Him For Calling Them 'Best Friends'
On Wednesday’s episode of Bigg Boss 16, when Shalin confessed his feelings for Tina, they both also discussed his past relationship with his ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur.
New Delhi: Like every year, it is expected that a love story will brew inside the Bigg Boss house and this season Shalin Bhanot has started the romance angle in the show. After confessing his feelings about Tina Datta to Gautam Vig, Shalin has now revealed his feelings to Tina.
On Wednesday’s episode of 'Bigg Boss 16', when Shalin confessed his feelings for Tina, they both also discussed his past relationship with his ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur. For the unversed, Shalin and Daljeet filed for divorce in 2016. Dalljiet had accused Shalin of domestic violence.
Shalin came to Tina and hinted about his feelings towards her. He said, “I am just telling you, though this is not the place where you can give your 100%. I promise you one thing, I will not hurt you.”
Tina answered, “this is what I am scared of.” Shalin told her, “being a boy is a problem.” Tina asked, “why.” Shalin stated, “if something wrong happens, it’s always the boy’s fault.”
Tina then said that if something happens between her and Shalin it will be a little awkward for her as she knows Dalljiet. To which Shain replied that he is best friends with his ex-wife.
“Problem is that I know her( Daljeet Kaur). We are not friends, but yes we know each other,” Tina told Shalin.
Hearing this, Shalin said, “that doesn’t bother me. You don’t know the equation. It’s like best friends.”
She then asked Shalin if his marriage with Dalljiet was ‘abusive’ and Shalin denied it. He said, “Let’s not talk about things.. because I really don’t want to. But it will be funny when I will tell you. You will be like ‘what, really? Really?’ and you will ask me ‘why don’t I speak about this? Because I don’t talk about it.”
Now, Dalljiet has reacted to what Shalin said. Taking to Twitter, Dalljiet wrote, “No I am not your best friend, Shalin. Meeting once in a month or two months for the sake of my child does not qualify as friendship. I wish you luck with your love life but leave me out of your fictions and stories please. And u r calling it funny? really?Tina no hard feelings for u." (sic)
Dalljiet and Shalin met on the sets of the TV show ‘Kulvaddhu’. They were the winners of the fourth season of celebrity couple dance show ‘Nach Baliye’. They seperated in 2015 and filed for divorce in 2016.
