Sripadha was admitted to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing and after undergoing tests, she tested positive for COVID-19.

Mumbai: Actress Sripadha who started her career in the 1980s, died at Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru. The 53-year-old actress passed away due to COVID-19. Apart from movies, Sripadha had also worked in several serials.

Sripadha was admitted to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing and after undergoing tests, she tested positive for COVID-19. After being hospitalised for almost two weeks, Sripadha succumbed to the virus.

Sripadha’s brother Rupesh Naidu talked about his sister’s death and told ABP News, “Last year, my sister was diagnosed with colon cancer and since then she was undergoing treatment for cancer at Columbia Asia Hospital in Bengaluru. She had to go to the hospital every 15 days for her chemotherapy. In this process, she became a victim of Corona infection and was then admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital.”

Actor Gajendra Chauhan, who has worked with Sripadha in many films and serials told ABP News, “Sripadha started working in films at a very young age. She was very hardworking from the beginning and played every role of hers with dedication. Sripradha was also a very good-hearted person.”

Sripadha’s real name was Isha Naidu and the actress had worked in mostly B-grade films during the 80s and 90s. Gajendra Singh told, “Producer of Sripadha’s first film ‘Dilruba Tangewali’ changed her name from Isha to Sripadha. The producer took ‘Sri’ from Sridevi and ‘Pradha’ from Jaya Pradha. She then became famous for her screen name Sripadha.”

Last year in the month of September, Sripadha completed shooting for the upcoming film ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’. This movie stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutta and Sonakshi Sinha.
