Singer Arijit Singh Turns Composer With Sanya Malhotra’s ‘Pagglait’; Dedicates The Album To A.R. Rahman

While sharing the news with his fans, Arijit Singh revealed that he has dedicated the album to ‘his guide’ and ace music composer A.R. Rahman.

New Delhi: Popular singer Arijit Singh, who has been winning hearts with his songs is all set to embark on a new journey in his career. The National Award-winning singer will not only entertain the audience with his singing but will now also compose songs. The ‘Kabira’ singer took to his social media to share the news in a post.

While sharing the news with his fans he revealed that he has dedicated the album to ‘his guide’ and ace music composer A.R. Rahman.

A portion of his post read, “I am honoured to present my music composed for Pagglait and I have dedicated the album to A.R. Rahman who is been one of my guide through his approach to Indian classical music and immense passion for soundscape. I have been inspired since the beginning of my understanding of intervals, chords and scales with Ragas and Thatas.”

Arijit also told IANS, “I make my debut as a music composer with a project very close to my heart. I am honoured to serve music to the world. The endearing story of Sandhya of self-belief and triumph is much like my musical journey and I feel honoured to be associated with a special film like Pagglait.”

Meanwhile, ‘Pagglait’ stars Sanya Malhotra in the lead role who is struggling to mourn the death of her husband as she sets off on a path of self-discovery.

Directed by Umesh Bist, ‘Pagglait’ also stars Sayani Gupta, Shrutii Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Meghna Malik and Rajesh Tailang. This film has been produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga and Achin Jain.
