Alia Bhatt’s ‘Darlings’ To Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’: Here Are The Movies And Series To Release In August 2022

Movies and web series have always provided thrilling entertainment for audiences. The second half of 2022 has already brought us a slew of mind-blowing films. Keeping with the trend, there are a number of films and series programs set to premiere in August, making it a very exciting month for moviegoers. Moviegoers can look forward to seeing Laal Singh Chaddha, Liger, and Darlings in August. 

Let's have a look at some of the movies that are going to be released in theaters and on OTT platforms in August.

Liger (August 25)

Liger is the first Bollywood film of Vijay Deverakonda. Puri Jagannadh directs this film, which stars Ananya Panday as the female protagonist. The film also has a cameo appearance by Mike Tyson. On August 25, 2022, Liger will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Laal Singh Chaddha (August 11)

Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Naga Chaitanya makes his Bollywood debut in Laal Singh Chaddha, an official Hindi version of the Hollywood hit Forrest Gump. The film will finally hit theaters on August 11th.

Darlings on Netflix (August 5)

A long-awaited dark comedy film, Darlings is packed with unanswered questions. It tells the narrative of a lady (Alia Bhatt) who, with the assistance of her mother (Shefali Shah), kidnaps her husband (Vijay Varma). The movie will be available on Netflix on August 5th.

Dobaaraa (August 19)

Taapsee Pannu plays the protagonist in Anurag Kashyap's mystery thriller Dobaaraa, an adaptation of the 2018 Spanish film Mirage. On August 19, 2022, the film will be released in theaters.

Raksha Bandhan (August 11)

Raksha Bandhan, a comedy-drama starring Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar, is currently under production. Released on August 11th is a film that deals with the relationship between siblings. 

Sita Ramam (August 5)

This romance drama, set in 1965, features Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna. An unexpected sequence of letters from an unknown woman claiming to be his wife, and the plot of the film centres on Lieutenant Ram, who must decide whether or not to believe the letters. All three languages of Sita Ramam are now being filmed concurrently. The release date has been set for Friday, August 5th.

Indian Matchmaking Season 2  on Netflix (August 10)

Sima Taparia, a Mumbai-based matchmaker, will return for a second season to assist other singles find love. On August 10, 2022, Netflix will release the second season of Indian Matchmaking.

Never Have I Ever season 3 on Netflix (August 12)

The trailer for the third season of 'Never Have I Ever' was released lately. It's no secret that Devi has become one of the most popular students at school since Paxton made their relationship public. Now, let’s see what this season holds. Season 3's premiere date has been scheduled on Tuesday, August 12.
